Authorities Release Details From Chain Reaction Crash On 270
Two drivers in the crash heading southbound on Interstate 270 north of Creve Coeur were taken to Mercy Hospital St. Louis with minor injuries.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol has released information related to a multi-car crash that tied up southbound traffic on Interstate 270 just north of Creve Coeur Tuesday.
What was initially reported as an 8-car crash was apparently a 4-car crash in the eyes of the Highway Patrol.
According to authorities, at 7:53 a.m., Michael Allen, 15, of Fenton, was driving southbound in a Toyota Camry and struck the rear of a KIA Optimdriven by Tinika Chaney-Daniels, 38, of St. Louis.
Stacey Scathered, 45, of Crestwood, struck Allen's car from behind in a Chevy Suburban. Her vehicle was struck by a Ford Edge driven by John King, 42, of St. Louis.
Scathered and King were both taken to Mercy Hospital St. Louis with what were termed "minor" injuries.
