Bradley Beal Getting Closer To Learning His Pro Basketball Future

The NBA Draft Lottery will be held Wednesday night, determining the order of the league's top picks.

Former Chaminade all-everything guard Bradley Beal is entering what could be the most important month of his basketball life to date.

Wednesday night, executives from NBA clubs eligible for the league's draft lottery will gather in Secaucus, New Jersey to determine the order of selection heading into next month's draft.

The Charlotte Bobcats, by virtue of having the league's worst record, have the best chance at obtaining the top overall pick. Most NBA watchers expect whoever picks first to select Kentucky forward Anthony Davis.

Michigan Live's Brendan Savage reviews the pulse of some of the top NBA prognosticators, and all of them have Beal rated highly.

Barring trades or draft lottery upsets, Beal would appear likely to land with a team like the Cleveland Cavaliers or the Portland Trail Blazers, although some mock drafts have also linked him with the Sacramento Kings or the Toronto Raptors.

Next week, Beal will participate in an NBA Pre-Draft Combine, where he'll be poked, prodded, measured and otherwise scrutinized by team officials from around the league. Bob Finnegan, of the News-Herald, in Northern Ohio, wrote over the weekend about how this would be the chance to learn exactly how tall Beal really is.

The draft will be held June 28 and will be televised on ESPN.

While the lottery has traditionally been held at NBA Headquarters in New Jersey, we noticed that this year it is being held in Times Square. Our apologies. Still fascinating to see what happens and what it means for Bradley Beal.
