Election 2013: Monarch Fire District Board Candidates File
Three candidates have filed for the single seat open in Apri's elections.
Three candidates have filed to run in the election for the Monarch Fire Protection District board. One seat will be contested in April.

Candidates continue to file for local offices ahead of next April's municipal elections.
The seat of Monarch Fire Protection District board of director Kim Evans expires in April. Evans has served as a MFPD director for the past 5-1/2 years and is currently the board president.
Evans, Russ Lake and Rick Gans have filed for the seat since last Tuesday. Lake is a local businessman who served on Monarch's Citizens' Advisory Committee for the agency's budget.
Gans is a former Monarch board member who has been a critic of the agency since leaving office.
The last day to file is January 15.
