I can think of 5 businesses would should be on this list but aren't so none of the above will get a vote.

Scott, we asked people earlier this summer to nominate finalists. Did you mention any of the ones you had in mind? We'd still like you to vote!

Well, bummer. Guess that's one vote I can't count on, lol!

As a working pollster, I don't contribute commercial businesses to free unscientific polls like this because there's no parameter control. How do we know the above listings weren't submitted by owners or employees? Most do it and get their employees to vote so they can later use it for their own publicity and advertising. The ones I patron do it on their own merit and I've never been to any of the above with the exception of Bristol's when it was branded Coco's.

I understand. As for our bookstore, I did admittedly nominate our FB page, but we only have two "employees," so that's not where our votes originated.
Of course, the results mean little - other nominations in our category were based not on the company's FB page, but good customer experience. Or employee voting. I really can't say. The point is that it's publicity and, for a business as small and as new as we are, we'll take whatever we can get!
