If You're Running For Office or Voting In An Election, You'd Better Read This
Candidates are invited to post in the Creve Coeur LOCAL VOICES blog section.
Over the last year or so, Creve Coeur Patch has quickly built a presence covering local municipalities around the area, from Parkway, Pattonville and Ladue school boards, to Creve Coeur City Council and elected officials at the state and federal level. We are passionate about providing a place where people can come together and learn about what's going on in their subdivision, school district, or just around the corner.
We have also spent significant time encouraging people to use their voice, commenting on stories, and using our blog platform to communicate with a wide audience. We are here to tell you that this especially applies to candidates running for office. Our LOCAL VOICES platform lets everyone get heard, for free!
We are making this platform available to any candidate in any race impacting voters in Creve Coeur. This is your opportunity to communicate with the voting public, with content that you own. In exchange for that, we expect fairness and civil discourse. We will review blog entries before they are posted. You should also know that we will not be editing the content of entries-- they will either be approved or rejected. It is up to you to use links to content that supports the points you make in your blog posts.
Comments will be encouraged, and we invite you to discuss the issues those comments bring up, on the site.
Our Terms of Use, which again, encourages civil discourse and discourages libel/slander and the like, will be enforced, but not at the expense of honest discussions of your policies, qualifications and plans if elected.
We know that you may have questions about how to use these tools, and we're happy to help you figure it out. Email me at Gregg.Palermo@patch.com.
We look forward to covering your campaign, and to adding your voice to Creve Coeur Patch Local Voices!
