Man Indicted For Forcible Sodomy Near Creve Coeur

Kevin O'Shaughnessy will stand trial for an incident in which police say he held down a woman and touched her sexually as his friend guarded the door.

A Ballwin man was indicted by a St. Louis County grand jury Wednesday on a forcible sodomy charge.

Prosecutors say that Kevin O’Shaughnessy, 20, of the 200 block of Spring Oaks Drive in Ballwin, held down a woman and touched her sexually during an incident Aug. 15 in unincorporated St. Louis County. The area is near the Olive and Lindbergh boulevards intersection.

St. Louis County Police reported that witnesses outside the room heard the victim yelling, “Stop,” but O’Shaughnessy’s friend stood outside the room’s door and prevented them from going to her aid.

O'Shaughnessy was charged in August for forcible sodomy - deviate sexual intercourse by forcible compulsion. His next court appearance is scheduled for Oct. 31.

He is being held in St. Louis County jail in lieu of a $50,000, cash only bond.
