Report: De Smet's Steeples To Transfer From Mizzou

The cornerback could play immediately in the fall.

Multiple media outlets are reporting that cornerback Robert Steeples, set to be a redshirt senior next year on the University of Missouri football team, has decided to transfer.

According to he Kansas City Star, Steeples, a graduate, has already visited Memphis and may also check out SMU. The new defensive coordinator at Memphis is former MU assistant Barry Odom. Another former De Smet Spartan, quarterback Stephen Kaiser, will be a redshirt sophomore next fall at SMU.

Under NCAA rules, Steeples, who will graduate in May, can play immediately in the fall by pursuing a graduate degree program not available at Missouri.
