6:57 p.m. Update

Threatening weather has given way to raindrops in Creve Coeur, forcing candidates trying to meet and greet voters to abandon post at the Creve Coeur Government Center just a few minutes before the close of polls at 7 p.m.

Stay with Patch throughout the night for results and reaction.

12:15 p.m. update

It has been a busy morning so far with the polls open for just over six hours. By 10:15 a.m., at least 114 people had voted at Parkway Northeast Middle School.

A short time later, poll volunteers said approximately 200 people had voted at Spoede School.

Parking and construction issues at the Creve Coeur Government Center have been something of a concern. The site is taking a larger chunk of th voters than usual, with Traditional Congregation closed as a polling place because of Passover.

Both candidates for Mayor, Laura Bryant and Barry Glantz were spotted greeting voters outside the entrance at the government center.

Polls close at 7 p.m.

Well, it's interesting how CC decided that today, election day, was a good time to do road work right in front of City Hall.....

Creve Coeur District voters are smart. Now if I saw public employees(firefighters) in full uniform electioneering for me, would you think they are in each others pockets.

I see you replied to my comment. What on earth do firefighters have to do with road construction?
