City Seeks Citizen Input for Capital Improvement Projects

The city updates its five-year capital improvement program
(CIP) every year. An important part of this annual process
includes gathering ideas for projects from Creve Coeur
residents. Capital improvements include projects such as the
construction of sidewalks, installation of park amenities,
street resurfacing, and improvements to the stormwater
system. Funding for capital projects comes from the
city’s half-cent capital improvement sales tax. The capital
budget for this fiscal year including the final payment for
Millennium Park debt is approximately $6.16 million.

The Planning & Zoning Commission is expected to be
presented with a draft CIP in February 2014 and will make a
recommendation to the City Council. The City Council will
then hold work sessions to review the proposed CIP update.
A public hearing will be advertised and held by the City
Council before final adoption.

If you would like the city to consider a project, please submit your ideas by January 10, 2014 to sstott@ci.crevecoeur.mo.us or write to: Sharon Stott, Assistant to the City Administrator, c/o CIP Ideas, City of Creve Coeur, 300 N. New Ballas Rd., Creve Coeur, MO 63141.
