Creve Coeur Resident Set To Retire From Top Spot At KMOV-TV

Allan Cohen has been General Manager for the CBS affiliate for 32 years.

A familiar face to local TV watchers over the past three decades, in addition to Creve Coeur neighborhoods, will be leaving the airwaves, and his General Manager's office at KMOV-TV.

The station's corporate parent BELO Friday announced Allan Cohen, who made appearances on the station from time to time, is retiring after a 38 year career, with 32 of them at the helm atop KMOV. The move is effective at the end of May.

In the announcement, Cohen said, "I have been fortunate that for the past 32 years I have had a job that I absolutely love, working with brilliant, creative people and have had the opportunity to serve my adopted hometown of St. Louis. When you add the fact that for the past 15 years, I have worked for Belo, it has been sheer perfection. However, the time has come for my wife Roberta and me to embark on the next chapter of our lives and enjoy our retirement."
