The award will be presented during a special “Interfaith Celebration of Freedom and Social Justice honoring the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.” that will take place at Temple Israel on Friday, Jan. 13, at 7:30 p.m.  This interfaith worship service will feature music by the Praise Connection Choir of Greater Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church.  All are welcome to attend this evening of music and prayer centered on the themes of freedom and justice.  An Oneg Shabbat reception will follow the service. Temple Israel is located at #1 Rabbi Alvan D. Rubin Dr., at the corner of Ladue and Spoede Roads in Creve Coeur, MO.

Nance suffered a heart attack in late December. His wife will accept the award on his behalf.
