"We’d be very interested in hearing suggestions on what to add to the four-day event to make it even better, fresher, not necessarily carnival related," Farber said in an email to Patch.

t when it was feared this year's carnival would be wiped out while organizers tried to find a new location.

Farber reiterated Wednesday that the event is not a function of the city of Creve Coeur. Proceeds from the carnival go to area charities.

Great news! What to add? Carnivals are sort of a tried and true institution. The live bands in the past have been fun; more of that I suppose.

Craft fair! Art fair! Taste of Creve Coeur! Historic reenactment! 5k runs! Volunteer events! Battle of the bands! Eating competition!* OK maybe not all good ideas, but I just wanted to get the brainstorming going :)

The 'Taste of Creve Coeur' and the 5K are great ideas.
