The Week Ahead: Council Vote On Taxes, Basketball Camps

We'll give you a heads up of news and events to come this week having an impact on Creve Coeur.

Welcome to the week ahead, a brief look at some of what's coming up this week in Creve Coeur Patch. Check back with this space each week as we preview stories and offer up some helpful reminders.

Monday night should be a busy evening for the Creve Coeur City Council, which is expected to vote on several text amendments relating to plans for a Fresh Market Grocery store, an apartment complex on Old Olive and a proposal that could see residential utility rates cut.

Monday night is also the next meeting of the Ladue School District Board of Education. You can find the meeting agenda on the district website.

On Monday and Tuesday, former Missouri basketball guard Kim English will hold a basketball camp at Parkway North. There are sessions for boys and girls entering grades 3-6 in the fall and another for kids in grades 7-12. For more information, check out the camp's registration form.

We'll talk to Kim about Mizzou basketball and his own future in the NBA and share that with you later in the week.

Tuesday, we'll share highlights of a conversation Patch had with new Priory Head Basketball Coach Bobby McCormack, who just wrapped up his first summer hoops camp at his new employer after a long run at CBC.

Tuesday night, the Pattonville School District Board of Education is scheduled to meet. The agenda was not available at the time this story was published.

Wednesday night, the Westchase Apartments, (formerly Cross Creek), holds a grand opening event to highlight renovations made at the property since the change of management there.

And a reminder: Mason Road from Mason Manor to Corum Way remains closed for a bridge replacement. Schools and residents still have the ability to access the area.

Editor's Note: In the future, we'll be combing through our events calendar for suggestions to put in "The Week Ahead", so if there's something you really want the world to know about, be sure to post your calendar event there.
