Chow Down, Get Down with Food Truck Feast and Bob Kuban Band

You can look out for The Cheater in a trip back to Teen Town, just chow down or have a great time doing both at Creve Coeur Park from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday.

The Bob Kuban Band is featured during the Feast in the Park Food Truck Fest at Creve Coeur Park in Maryland Heights. The food trucks are open from 5 to 8 p.m., but Kuban fans will want to be out early, as the band plays from 5 to 7 p.m.

"I'm excited about playing in Creve Coeur Park," Kuban said Wednesday. "It's a great venue."

Kuban said he is a bit concerned about the crowd coming out during a heat advisory.

Maggie Kenny, special events coordinator with St. Louis County Parks, said the 14 food trucks will provide plenty of drink options, and there is plenty of shade at the park to help participants keep cool.

"Although we ask that people do not bring coolers into the park during the event, they can bring their own drinks," Kenny said. "We just ask that people use common sense and keep themselves cool during the event."

Kuban’s band got its start playing at Teen Town and other local dances and venues before Bob Kuban and the In-Men reached the charts in 1966 with their hit, “The Cheater.”

Kuban has been a sure-fire draw in St. Louis ever since, playing a medley of oldies, classic rock and soul.

The food trucks are an attraction themselves, with cuisine ranging from sushi to gourmet burgers, from fish tacos to toasted ravioli, from gyros to cupcakes.

Creve Coeur Park, the second most attended park in the St Louis area behind Forest Park, is at 13725 Marine Drive.
