Can We Talk?

The J, The Jewish Light, and JCRC are partnering together in the first session of a quarterly series dealing with issues of interest to the Jewish community.  The first session, Culture in Conflict, will feature St. Louis Opera Theater's Executive Director Timothy O'Leary, St. Louis Post Dispatch critic Judith Newmark and other cultural experts to discuss a new controversial opera to be performed locally called "The Death of Klinghoffer."

“The Death of Klinghoffer” tells the story of the hijacking of the passenger liner Achille Lauro by the Palestine Liberation Organization and resulting murder of a Jewish passenger.  Join us for a community conversation on this opera and similar type controversial arts programs. This program is supported by St. Louis B'nai B'rith Missouri Lodge.
