JEWISH FILM FEST TO MARK ITS 16TH YEAR
Even if your posterior can’t take 16 movies in five days, rejoice. The 16th Annual St. Louis Jewish Film Festival, from June 12th to 16th, promises something for practically everyone, from the Opening Day Film; Jews and Baseball : An American Love Story to a history of Jewish soldiers during the Civil War. Fifteen films from eight countries around the world are presented, features and documentaries. New this year is a Short Film Competition where the winning films will be showcased at the Film Festival.

Presented by the Jewish Community Center Cultural Arts Department, all festival movies will be shown at the Landmark Plaza Frontenac Cinema. In multicultural dramas and documentaries the focus will be on journeys of personal faith, growth and exploration.

Tickets to opening-night film, “Jews and Baseball: A Love Story,” traces the history of Jews in America through its favorite pass time, cost $15. Other screenings cost $11 in advance and $12 at the door. Students16 and under to $8. A 4-Pack of weekday films can be purchased for $40.
