Life Sciences, One of the Highest Paying Occupations in St. Louis

St. Louis was recently ranked 44 out of 104 major markets on The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics' list of highest paying markets, with life sciences making the top 10 highest paying industries.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics has recently published the 2012 list of the highest-paying markets for employees across all industries based on their research; St. Louis came in at number 44 out of 104 major markets on the list.

While the health care industry dominated the highest-paying jobs in the St. Louis region, life science occupations came in the top 10 and listed as number 7.

St. Louis, a staple in the biotechnology industry and has come a long way in recent years with research facilities such as Washington University, BRDG Park, the Danforth Center, Helix, Monsanto, Cortex and other supporters in the area such as the Missouri Technology Corporation, St. Louis Economic Council, and BioSTL. Their support, investment and commitment have been vital to working towards the booming industries goals.
