On Wednesday, March 28th, NewLeaf Symbiotics Inc., formerly Trophomax LLC, hosted a tenant open house at BRDG Park. During the event, Mark Gorski, business development officer for BRDG Park, Tom Laurita, president and CEO, and Stephen Kahn, senior vice president and CFO of NewLeaf Symbiotics shared information about the innovative start-up’s contributions to the thriving agriculture biotech industry in St. Louis.
NewLeaf Symbiotics, located on the ground floor of BRDG Park, overlooking the Danforth Plant Science Center’s greenhouse complex, is a science-based company doing cutting-edge research and product development. The main focus of their research is focused on a naturally occurring family of beneficial plant bacteria called pink pigmented facultative methylotrophs, also known as PPFM’s. When added to seeds, PPFM’s have been found to enable plants to grow more vigorously, healthier, and generate higher yields.
Gorski opened the brief presentation,“I’m so excited for you to hear from the leadership of NewLeaf today. They have an incredible team that has demonstrated many recent successes, including new funding. They are a tremendous addition to the BRDG Park ecosystem and to the St. Louis Region.”
