101 ESPN Keeping Bernie Miklasz In New Capacity

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch columnist will be stepping down from his midday radio program at the end of April.

101 ESPN Radio announced Friday that Bernie Miklasz, the longtime St. Louis Post-Dispatch columnist who will step away from his hosting duties at the Creve Coeur FM station later this month to concentrate on his duties at the newspaper, is staying affiliated with all-sports talker.

In a statement, the station said it had reached an exclusive agreement for Miklasz to have a regular phone-in presence daily on the morning Zach and Rammer show, The Fast Lane on the afternoon drive, as well as a Friday call to the midday program which will succeed his own show, starting in May.

Program Director Chris "Hoss: Neupert said the new arrangement is fun for the station because it will let hosts throughout the day pick Miklasz's brain. Details on who will host the new program have not been announced, although Neupert told Patch Friday that an announcement could come in the next week and a half. Interest in the position has come from around the country.
