Creve Coeur Could Get A Taste of "Zoup"
The Zoup! restaurant chain has filed an application with the city of Creve Coeur for a location neighboring ALDI at Olive Blvd. and New Ballas Road.
A Southfield, Michigan-based restaurant chain featuring soups wants to place a second location in Missouri and has targeted Creve Coeur. Zoup! has filed plans with the city to open a location in part of the former Borders Bookstore space next to ALDI.
A proposed 2,837 square-foot, 72 seat, limited-service restaurant will be presented to Creve Coeur's Planning and Zoning Commission on June 17. The restaurant would have frontage on New Ballas Road in the northwest corner of the building. According to the restaurant's application, "Zoup! strives to offer authentic, hand-crafted soups that are as good – and as “feel-good” – as the homemade soups our mothers and grandmothers used to cook up." The menu also includes salads, sandwiches and bakery items.
The chain has a location at West County Center in Des Peres.
