Creve Coeur Stocks Mixed Friday; Monsanto CEO Calls U.S. Economic Climate "Concerning"

A check of some prominent Creve Coeur-based firms showed a mixed day on Wall Street.

gained $1.15 (+1.74 percent) to close at $67.15.

gained $.04 (+1.19 percent) to close at $21.29.

lost $.09 (-1.30 percent) to close at $6.85.

lost $.19 (-2.62 percent) to close at $7.07.

lost $1.90 (3.45 percent) to close at $53.18.

Monsanto CEO Hugh Grant, in comments published Friday afternoon in the Wall Street Journal, said the economic climate in the United States is "very, very concerning.

This comes as ABC News is reporting that the U.S. government expects Standard & Poors to downgrade the country's debt rating.
