Easing Congestion: Bellerive Plaza Owners Seek City OK For Project

Request will go before the city's P&Z panel later this month.

Sometime in the not too distant future, a trip to s or in Creve Coeur's Bellerive Plaza might be a little easier.

The DESCO Group, owner of the property located west of Interstate 270, is asking the city to let it adjust its development plan for the site in order to add a left turn lane heading onto Olive Boulevard westbound.

City Planner Whitney Kelly told Patch the proposal means getting rid of the existing median, which means adding greenspace elsewhere on the property. Kelly said under the arrangement, which would also include MoDOT, DESCO would cover the cost of new light signals at the intersection to account for the new turn signal.
