New Business Plans A Knockout Workout

Impressed by the demographic opportunities in Creve Coeur and the traffic on Olive Boulevard, TITLE Boxing Club has opened its doors in town at 11615 Olive Blvd.

The Overland Park, KS firm has three other locations in St. Louis, in Chesterfield, Valley Park and St. Charles County. 

But the CityPlace location is the largest locally, according to franchise co-owner Chris Spenner. There's capacity for 60 participants in a class that uses boxing to achieve cardiovascular results along with overall strength and conditioning.

Spenner said the company looked at the existing locations and saw room for growth, but also saw the potential for Creve Coeur to attract members from Valley Park and Chesterfield.

Eight trainers split their time around the area, with Creve Coeur's largest crowd expected at 5 p.m. when Spenner hopes some of their new neighbors in CityPlace and other corporate headquarters in town get out of the office and look to let off some steam.

"Nobody's ever hovering over you. This isn't like The Biggest Loser where somebody's screaming and yelling at you. It's go at your own pace," Spenner said, noting that classes have people as young as 12 years old and up to 65 years of age.
