New Information Regarding Provisions' Closure In Creve Coeur

After 17 years in business, gourmet market will close next month.

Creve Coeur Patch has learned new details regarding the move to close on Olive Blvd.

In an email Monday morning, Vice President Amos Kedmey cited the end of the store's lease as the reason for the decision, as well as the opportunity to expand the company's primary business, The Wine & Cheese Place. There other St. Louis area locations in Rock Hill, Ballwin and Clayton.

Provisions first opened in Creve Coeur 17 years ago, with the current owners in place for the last decade. The Wine & Cheese Place will open at a North New Ballas Rd. location near the June 1. The shift means fewer employees, but Kedmey said most of the impacted staff have already found new jobs.
