Pickleman's Picks Creve Coeur Site

Pickleman's will occupy the corner space at the Creve Coeur Shopping Center formerly occupied by Pacific Cafe.

Get ready for another restaurant looking for a slice of the sandwich dollar in Creve Coeur.

Pickleman's Gourmet Cafe, with locations in Clayton, Kirkwood, O'Fallon and St. Charles, has a deal to occupy the former Pacific Cafe space at the Creve Coeur Shopping Center on Olive Boulevard just east of Interstate 270.

The Drury Development Corporation, which owns the center, won Planning and Zoning Commission approval Monday to improve signage in the area in hopes of getting better visibility on Olive Boulevard.

A Drury representative told the commission that the restaurant could open by mid-November.

The long term future of the shopping center has several questions surrounding it, given that Drury has ownership of the property and is in the hotel building business, noted Paul Langdon, the city's director of Planning and Community Development.

The city is looking at options for the adjacent Fountain Park, which has not had a functional fountain for quite some time. One option is to sell the park.
