Plans For Former Eggleston Eye Care Building Hit City Council Monday

The building within eyesight of Interstate 270 will still be focused on medical tenants.

A recognized piece of real estate in Creve Coeur has a new owner and plans for a new look.

The building which housed Dr. Harry Eggleston's Eagle Eye Care practice on Emerson Road and visible from Interstate 270, is getting a makeover following Dr. Eggleston's retirement.

A minior site development plan for the facility, located at 633 Emerson Road was approved by the Creve Coeur Planning and Zoning Commission last week and goes before City Council members Monday. The plan calls primarily for facade and landscaping changes on the property.

Greg Yawitz is the new property owner. He recently told Patch that in addition to the exterior improvements, there are plans for "significant interior renovations" as part of a "complete re-imaging" of the building.

The building will remain focused on medical clients. Premier Prosthetics and St. Louis Spine Surgery Center are still on site.
