Post Sports Bar & Grill Now Open In Creve Coeur

The Old Ballas Road location is a spinoff of the original restaurant in Maplewood.

Backers of the latest restaurant to hit the scene in Creve Coeur said they were targeting a slower time of year to open in part to make it easier to train new staff in a less hectic period.

So it may have been fitting that The Post Sports Bar & Grill ended up opening on one of the slowest sports days of the year on Monday at the Old Ballas Road location near Olive Boulevard.

Customers were sampling the restaurant's fare regardless of that on Monday night, with Major League All Star Game festivities and NBA Summer League basketball showing on the many TVs dotting the interior, even as staff was getting schooled on how the bar's satellite TV packages work.

Visitors will be in for a good dose of sports memorabilia when they walk in the former Growler's Pub space. A signed Albert Pujols St. Louis Cardinals 2006 World Series jersey greets people just inside the front door. A T.J. Oshie St. Louis Blues sweater is inside.

The restaurant will be open 11 a.m-11p.m. Sunday-Tuesday, 11 a.m.-1:30 Wednesday-Saturday.
