Small Business Shout Out: All on the Same Page Bookstore

When was the business founded?: "July 23, 2011, opened October 1, 2011."

How did your business come to be?: "Dennis thought we had too many books and offhandedly mentioned that we should open a bookstore. Robin thought it was a great idea, and it took off from there - within less than three months, the bookstore opened."

Why did you choose the area you did?: "Robin's family, several generations back, lived in Creve Coeur; her great-great-grandfather used to farm just south of Olive where 270 is now located. Her grandparents lived in two different houses on Graeser Rd., and she spent a lot of time there as a child. And too, the store location on Olive is just half a mile from home!"

What kind of services do you offer?: "We carry mostly used books and some new, but we specialize in local authors - we have nearly 100 titles from authors around the metro area and across Missouri. We have coffee and WiFi, and a few reading and writing accessories. We can order almost any book, new or used, and we have book events almost every Saturday and other special events several times a month."

What's a fact about your business that most customers probably don't know?: "That we're available to host small groups - book clubs, seminars, meetings, etc., and well, that we even exist!"

What do you want your business to be best known for?: "Customer service - we can special order both new and used, and we have great recommendations of lesser known, local authors and books - and a community hub, a place to hang out and read, meet up with friends, or even get to know the neighbors."

What's your most popular product or service?: "That's a tough one, because a lot of customers come to us for special orders but our top seller overall is probably used paperbacks - just $3.00 each!"
