The Creve Coeur location for will be closing its doors March 26, as the company has decided to merge those operations with its.

In a news release, the company said it would be "relocating staff" to the Chesterfield location, but it was unclear Wednesday if the move would have an impact on the overall number of employees. Inquiries were directed to The Sound Room president Dave Young, who could not immediately be reached for comment. The prepared statement chalked the decision up to changing business factors. "Our business model has changed over the years, with us often going to the customer’s home. It no longer makes sense to have two redundant showrooms within ten miles,” David Young said in the statement.

The Creve Coeur location will be holding a liquidation sale in conjunction with the move, on a first come, first serve, basis.
