Want Out Of The Kitchen For Thanksgiving Day? We've Got Some Options

From fast food to sit down, there are plenty of choices if you find yourself eating out on Turkey day.

While Thanksgiving Day means getting up before sunrise to put in the turkey and start cooking for many families, some people prefer to avoid the cleanup and eat out instead. Or maybe you misread the directions on your bird or find yourself in a cranberry sauce crisis.

Whatever your reason, if you’re not in the mood to turn on the oven this year, there are several restaurants in the area ready to accommodate you.

Hardee’s, located at 12004 Lackland Rd. in Maryland Heights, will be open and serving its regular menu between 5am until 11pm.

is open on Thanksgiving serving its regular menu. Steak 'n Shake is located in Maryland Heights at 12607 Dorsett Rd, in Florissant at 1955 Highway 67 N., in Hazelwood at 6050 Howdershell and 5534 St. Louis Mills Blvd., and in unincorporated St. Louis County at 10459 Page Ave.

is also open and serving its regular menu. White Castle is located in Maryland Heights at 12025 Dorsett Rd. and in Florissant at 840 N. Highway 67.

Most ’ locations in the area will be open during regular hours. Two exceptions include the Howdershell location in Hazelwood and the Olive Boulevard location in Creve Coeur, which are both closed Thanksgiving day.

All locations will be open during regular hours as are all locations.

, located at 12203 Dorsett Rd. in Maryland Heights, will be open from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm. The Florissant locations will be closed.

All-You-Can-Eat Options

Ryce Oriental Buffet, located at 12710 Dorsett Rd. in Maryland Heights, will be open from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m., serving its regular menu.

located at 11801 Olive Boulevard in Creve Coeur, will host a Thanksgiving buffet from 10:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. Adults can eat for $29 and kids for $14. For more information, call the restaurant at  314-567-0272      

, located at 12643 Olive Boulevard in Creve Coeur, will serve a traditional Thanksgiving buffet dinner. Seatings will be available at 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Adults eat for $14.99 and kids under age 11 for $7.99. For more information, call the restaurant at 314-542-5000.

Pujols 5, located at 342 Westport Plaza in Maryland Heights, will serve a Thanksgiving buffet from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. Adults can eat for $24.95, and kids for $5.95. For more information, call the restaurant at 314-439-0505.

, located at 407 Dunn Road in Florissant, will serve a Thanksgiving buffet from noon to 6 p.m. Adults can eat for $17.95, and kids for $10.95. For more information, call the restaurant at 314-839-1000.

The Eat Up Buffet, located inside Harrah’s Casino in Maryland Heights, will be open from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m.

Sit-Down Dinners

, located at 1839 Dunn Road in Florissant, is serving both Thanksgiving dinner and its regular menu between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m. Thanksgiving items will also be sold à la carte.  For more information, call the restaurant at 314-921-6886.

At Harrah’s Casino, located in Maryland Heights, all restaurants will be open except Kelly English Steakhouse. Charlie Gitto’s will be open from 4:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. and the dining room at Sammy’s Beach Bar & Grill will be open from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m.

Raj’s Rasoi Authentic Indian Cuisine, located at 2286 McKelvey Rd. in Maryland Heights, will be open for lunch but may close early if the restaurant isn’t busy.

Almost Like Homemade

All Cracker Barrel locations, including one in at 10915 New Halls Ferry Road in Ferguson, will be open. For Thanksgiving dinner, Cracker Barrel will serve turkey and ham entrees with sweet potato casserole and choice of one additional vegetable. You’ll also get a beverage and dessert. Adults will pay $8.99 and kids’ meals will cost $4.49. Cracker Barrel’s Thanksgiving dinner will run from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Cracker Barrel is also offering a “Thanksgiving Dinner To-Go” for $49.99. The old-fashioned Thanksgiving dinner includes a turkey with dressing, gravy, baked ham, choice of three vegetables, cranberry relish and made-from-scratch biscuits, corn muffins or a loaf of sourdough bread. If you want to order the “Thanksgiving Dinner To-Go,” be sure to call at least 24 hours in advance. This special offer is available from Nov. 19 to Nov. 27 with 24-hour notice.

The Night Life

Maryland Yards, located at 2033 Dorsett Village Center in Maryland Heights will be open on Thanksgiving. From 9 p.m. until midnight, the club will offer beer buckets and $2 shots, and “Tenatious Trivia” begins at 8:00 pm.  

Syberg’s on Dorsett, located at 2430 Old Dorsett Rd. in Maryland Heights, will host , opening its doors at 7 p.m. The bar will be open, and the late night menu, including pizza, appetizers and salads will be available. “Beat the clock” drink specials will start at 9 p.m., and there will be no cover charge. As an added bonus, Dirty Muggs will play from 9 p.m. until the bar closes at 1 a.m.
