Brown Smith Wallace Audit Manager Named Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional

Scott Brandt, an audit manager with Brown Smith Wallace, has earned the Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP) certification.

Brandt has over nine years of experience in public accounting at Brown Smith Wallace. The CCIFP certification reinforces Brandt’s intimate knowledge of and commitment to excellence in construction industry financial management.

“Scott’s experience and training have allowed him to develop intricate knowledge of the financial and operational critical success factors of construction companies,” said Tony Caleca, member in charge of audit services at Brown Smith Wallace. “Having a CCIFP on our team is extremely valuable for our clients.”

With only 765 active CCIFPs nationwide, Brandt is the first CCIFP at Brown Smith Wallace, and one of only 15 in Missouri, including a handful in the St. Louis area.

 “With this certification, there is a unique body of knowledge above that of financial generalists,” said Bill Willbrand, member in charge of real estate and construction advisory services at Brown Smith Wallace. “It reflects out commitment to continuing education that keeps our clients up to date and better equipped to handle changes in the construction industry.”

A member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Brandt received his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse.
