It is time for the all American family road trip. Here are some tips to help your family arrive safely and with a minimum of stress.

Summer! Kids are out of school and families are free to travel. It is time for the all American family road trip. We all have our memories of being stuffed into cars with siblings and suitcases on an adventurous Journey. Traveling together is one of the most rewarding experiences a family can have. On the flip side, it can also be one of the most harrowing. Here are some tips to help your family arrive safely and with a minimum of stress. 

Wear Seat Belts

  • Make it a policy that everyone buckles up before the car moves.
  • Never travel with more passengers than you can provide seat belts for.
  • Young children should sit in the back seat in an approved child seat.
  • Do not allow children to place the seat belt behind their back or under their arm.
  • Consider a travel kennel for the family pet.

Pack A Family First-Aid Kit

  • Include motion sickness medication.
  • Keep the first aid kit secured and out of reach of the children.
  • Include a current ID kit with medical information.
