'Idol' Contestant Is Now A Patch Blogger

Well this week kicked off the first week of live shows for American Idol. I will be sharing with you some of my opinion about the show, the contestants and the judges.  

First of all, I have to say the new look of the show is taking some getting used to. It’s a bit over the top for me, but it is the #1 rated show in America so they deserved a makeover.  I think they may have taken what made the show so appealing to a place that just doesn’t feel too much like home anymore. It may grow on me, we’ll see.

As for the contestants, it is going to be such a hard year to choose who I want to win! and meeting almost everyone on the live shows, I want everyone to win. That being said, I think all the guys did pretty well, it’s a very stressful situation, and that is something I just don’t think everyone realizes when we’re sitting on your sofa’s watching the show. I was only in Hollywood for two days, and it was one of my most stressful experiences I’ve experienced in my life. Given that, I think they all did remarkably well.  Some better than other, but all in all, it was entertaining to watch. The girls did well also, but I’d have to give the first round to the guys!

The judges seemed to be very complimentary to everyone and I’m sure that will turn some people off. I’m sure some of you were yelling at your TV wishing for Simon to come back! It’s going to be a tough night tonight for everyone with more than half of the contestants being sent home. I’m sure the judges wanted to applaud everyone for making it this far and wanted the contestants to go out with a bang. I understand that, these contestants have to have some pretty amazing voices to have made it this far. I hope after the show tonight, the judges settle into their JOB and can give open and honest feedback to the contestants and America.
