CityPlace: Cutting The Ribbon, Prepping For Potbelly & A Kick Out Of Fitness

Patch has an update on commercial retail activity at the Koman Group property in Creve Coeur.

may be the new kid on the block as far as commercial tenants at CityPlace are concerned, but it almost certainly won't be the last business in the Koman Group complex to celebrate a ribbon cutting.

The retail outlet, one of only four stores nationally for the high-end kitchen products company, opened earlier this spring in the former Sound Room space and hosted a ceremony Tuesday morning.

In case you're wondering, dignitaries used the ceremonial giant scissors as opposed to the sharp objects for sale inside.

Nearby, a few doors down in the same complex, construction continues on the Potbelly Sandwich Shop in what was the former Provisions Market space. Franchise owner Todd Stimson owner told Patch he's planning an August 22 opening. In the meantime, he's also in hiring mode. Anyone interested should email shop505@potbellyshops.com.

A representative confirmed Tuesday that the Provisions space would be split between Potbelly and a Crown Optical outlet.

In the space between Crown Optical and  work is roughly two weeks away from completion on a Title Boxing Club outlet. The Kansas-based firm mixes fitness with boxing and kickboxing skills, and the Creve Coeur outlet will join other Title Boxing outlets in Chesterfield and Valley Park. According to the company's website, a July 30 opening is planned for Creve Coeur.
