Coming Attractions: Updates On AMC Theatres, Potbelly & Goodcents

A roundup of business news we've been tracking around Creve Coeur for months.

If you've driven down Olive Boulevard in the last few days, you may have noticed the sign: Potbelly Sandwhich Works is coming "Soonish".

The eatery, approved to take over part of the former Provisions market space at CityPlace, is now showing signs of construction activity. Franchise owner Todd Stimson says the restaurant is planning on an opening in late July, after first targeting the early part of the month.

The AMC Theatres' proposal to provide a sit-down dining experience for moviegoers at the company's 16 screen complex on Olive Boulevard received final approval last week from the Creve Coeur City Council. A company executive has said that the concept, which would ultimately include every screen in the theatre, could be phased in over time with the first areas ready in time for the Christmas holiday movie season.

Plans for a conditional use permit for a Goodcents sandwhich shop on North New Ballas received first reading at Creve Coeur City Council last week, with a second reading likely June 11.
