Creve Coeur Days 2012: Know Before You Go

The annual city carnival opens Thursday night. For the first time in the non-profit's history, the event will be held on the De Smet Jesuit campus.

Crews will be busy assembling the carnival midway early Thursday at in preparation for the opening of Creve Coeur Days 2012. The annual carnival will go off about a month after it has normally been held in past years.

Many of the rides were already on site at De Smet Wednesday, but organizers said workers were operating another carnival site and dismantling it Wednesday night and then focusing on Creve Coeur for the weekend.

Here's what you need to know before you go: (activities will be held in the Emerson Road De Smet lot.)

Hours

  • Thursday June 14, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. ($17 armband night)
  • Friday, June 15, 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Saturday, June 16, Noon. to 11 p.m.
  • Sunday, June 17, Noon to 6 p.m.

Parking

Some parking will be available on site at De Smet. You're invited to park at but only between the following times:

  • Thursday 6 p.m - 10 p.m.
  • Friday 8 p.m.- close
  • Saturday and Sunday after 12 p.m.

Those who park in the nearby Emerald Green Estates and Balmoral subdivisions will only be allowed to do so on a single side of the street.
