Creve Coeur In Review: College Recruiting, A Solution For Meth & More

We begin our weekly look back at how some news of interest to Creve Coeur was covered by other media outlets with attention being paid to a pharmaceutical firm located in unincorporated West St. Lous County near the city. Highland Pharmaceuticals is getting media coverage from the St. Louis Beacon and The Riverfront Times because of the company's claims that it can manufacture a "tamper-proof pill," one which meth cooks could not break down for ingredients. Company officials told the Beacon they are pursuing independent testing.

Shifting gears, the Ladue School District's Early Childhood Center, which will be ready to swing open its doors next month, was profiled in the Suburban Journal.

Finally, Purdue may be back in the mix for basketball standout . According to espn.com, the Indiana school curtailed its recruitment of the Spartan forward after it had secured a commitment from Kentucky high schooler Derek Willis. Willis, it seems, has backed off his verbal pledge. Berry has offers from the University of Missouri and Butler, among others.
