Creve Coeur In Review: Football, Corporate Earnings and Gun Locks

SPORTS:

The prep football season is still just a few weeks away, but one Creve Coeur high school is guaranteed to have at least one game played at the Edward Jones Dome this season.

The dome has been the site for state championship play, but the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that De Smet and Pattonville have been selected to play in the inaugural Great American Football Classic September 10.

BUSINESS:

Creve Coeur-based reported earnings after the bell on Tuesday.

The news was mixed, as the St. Louis Business Journal reported the firm posted a $1.7 million profit.

"Our earnings, while still not near where we want them to be, rebounded from the March quarter," Gary Douglass, President and CEO said in a statement.

SAFETY:

In the meantime, the department said it is part of Project ChildSafe, a national program that offers free gun locks. If you'd like one, come to the police department's lobby between 7:30 a.m and 8 p.m. 

To request a lock, citizens must come to the lobby of the police department between the hours of 7:30 am and 8 pm.
