Members of the American Legion Post participated in activities at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

Members of Creve Coeur'swere expected to participate in activities Monday at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery to remember the sacrifices of those who have fought and died defending American freedom.

While there were no formal Memorial Day events scheduled at the Post Monday, there were still plenty of flags flying with pride.

Those at Jefferson Barracks will notice an American flag at each veteran's gravesite, thanks to Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and other young volunteers.
