From Creve Coeur To Joplin: Ronald McDonald House Delivers Supplies To Sister Facility In Need

Joplin's RMH did not get hit in Sunday's tornado.

Creve Coeur's Ronald McDonald House, located on the campus of , has only been open for a few short months. But in that period of time, it has already seen the outpouring of support in its own time of need, when a . Now, Creve Coeur is returning the favor.

Staff and house residents spent time late Tuesday afternoon loading up a van with soap, shampoo and other supplies to deliver to the Ronald McDonald House in Joplin, MO.

The Joplin facility did not get hit by Sunday's tornado, according to local officials, but is located between the city's two hospitals, including the ,which sustained serious damage that forced a full evacuation.

The Joplin site has no electricity and no gas, but it is still housing families and expects more to come in.

"Their resources will only get worse because they're supported by their community like we're supported by our community and so with no communigty, their reources ar going to become less and less," said Jenifer Braucksieker, St. Louis' director of house operations.

Braucksieker and her son Zane were expecting to deliver the supplies and return to St. Louis Wednesday.
