'#liveyourlife': Bradley Beal Reacts To Jason Collins' Announcement

Jason Collins came out as the first gay openly athlete in one of the four major U.S. sports leagues Monday.

Jason Collins, who played with the NBA's Washington Wizards during the past season, announced in a story in this week's issue of Sports Illustrated that he is gay, the first athlete in the NBA, NFL, NHL or Major League Baseball to do so.

Reaction has come in from around the world and across the spectrum of sports and politics, with former President Bill Clinton also weighing in, tweeting "I'm proud to call Jason Collins a friend."

Collins' teammate on the Washington Wizards, former Chaminade standout Bradley Beal also took to social media Monday, tweeting "Proud of @jasoncollins34 for expressing his feelings! Great teammate, mentor and better person !! #liveyourlife!"
