Monday Menu: Election Prep, High School Sports Playoffs and Recycling

We're looking at a busy day ahead in Creve Coeur. What's on your agenda?

So there is this little matter happening tomorrow. Election Day. Your chance to make your voice heard. We've got just about all you need if you're looking for information. Here's our coverage plan for how we're planning to treat the day, and how we want you to be involved.

But there's a lot to talk about going on Monday.

9:00am: You can start bringing appliances and other goods to B'Nai Amoona as part of the annual electronics recycling campaign done in conjunction with the City of Creve Coeur and MERS/Goodwill. Last year's drive brought 1600 individual donations. The two-day campaign ends at 3 p.m.

9:00am: The AMC Theatre Dine-In concept at West Olive 16 is giving away 100 free movie passes along with food vouchers.

7:00pm: The Creve Coeur Planning and Zoning Commission meets tonight, but will not take action on the Delmar Gardens Rezoning proposal for Ladue Road near Interstate 270. The matter was continued to November 19 so city officials can receive a traffic analysis for a consultant and Delmar Gardens officials can review it.

7:00pm:The Parkway Central football Colts take on Holt for the Class 5 District 3 Championship at home. The winner advances to face the winner of Lebanon/Camdenton Saturday at 1:30pm.

Today is also the last day to enter our Halloween Costume Photo Contest. The deadline for the Patch-wide contest was extended due to Hurricane Sandy. The winning photo will get $5,000!

Is there something else going on today we should know about? Add it to the comments!
