Pattonville Pirate Marching Band Gets Cardinals Parade Honor

High School bands from Seckman and Lindbergh also participated in the event.

Years from now, thousands of people will say they were there as the World Series champion St. Louis Cardinals were feted along the downtown parade route Sunday. But not many will be able to say they marched alongside the best team in baseball in front of the crowd. The marching band at will rightly be able to lay claim to the honor.

The Pirates were chosen, along with the bands from Seckman and Lindbergh High School. "It's such a great honor for our students to be a part of an event of this magnitude," said Band Director Denny McFarland in a news release prior to the event. "This is something they will remember for the rest of their lives.
