Red Light Cameras Get Green Light From Appellate Court
A lawsuit challenged the city of Creve Coeur's red light camera program.
A state appellate court has backed the city of red light camera traffic enforcement program, over the objections of a woman who claimed the system violated her due process rights.
Creve Coeur City Attorney Carl Lumley said he was "pleased that the court agreed with the city that it's (red light cameras) an important public safety tool." A spokeswoman for one of the attorneys representing the plaintiff in the case said they respectfully disagreed with the decision and would continue on with the appeals process, which could include a rehearing by the full court, or a transfer to the Missouri Supreme Court.
