St. Timothy's Plans Fall Groundbreaking

Expansion of Episcopal church in Creve Coeur includes a new parish hall.

leaders have spent the better part of the last two years meeting with neighborhood stakeholders, and formulating plans for a renovation on Mason Road.

Now, according to the latest church bulletin, those plans should be ready for a groundbreaking ceremony later this year:

This new design which is budgeted to come inside our $2.6M budget follows the basic concept of the original design and has the following features. A refurbished education wing with classrooms on both upper and lower floors. The upper level will include a nursery with separate toilet and changing facilities. The lower level will have both toilet and shower facilities. The new parish hall will be significantly larger than existing and this new building, which will have a pitched roof, will contain a larger upgraded kitchen. An elevator will connect both floors of the educational wing and the parish hall. The gathering space will be connected to the parish hall with an enclosed colonnade which will also give access to the Columbarium. The colonnade will also be the main  entrance to the church and the existing stained glass will be re-installed over this entrance. Work is going ahead to prepare the construction drawings and it is hoped to break ground in the late fall.
