The Week Ahead: A Council Meeting, Readers Choice Deadline and a Fireworks Contest

Welcome to a Monday on Creve Coeur Patch. We hope your lawn got a little rain this weekend.

We'll be at tonight's city council meeting, where lawmakers are scheduled to hear a second reading on an ordinance that will help an Olivette bakery relocate to the Shoppes at Westgate. Also on the agenda are amendments to city anti-discrimination policies regarding lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgendered individuals.

Councilmembers will also decide on an appointee to head the city's Parks and Recreation Department

Monday is also the deadline to nominate your favorite spot around St. Louis for a Patch Readers Choice award. . Voting begins later this month.

Tuesday is the deadline to enter your Fourth of July Fireworks photo We have over 150 entries so far, but go ahead and add yours, since you can't win if you're not in.

Wednesday is the deadline to register to vote in the August 7 primary.

Speaking of the elections, If you're running, or know someone who is, do voters--and Patch, candidly--a huge favor and get listed with us.

Thursday, it will be time to share another round of the latest restaurant inspections in Creve Coeur done by the St. Louis County Health Department. 

Friday, we'll have a look at who is hiring around Creve Coeur and Missouri.
