We polled Democrats and asked how they feel about implications tied to Governor Nixon veto of a Senate bill which would have allowed health care providers among others, to refuse abortion and other contraceptive services under certain conditions.

Monday night, Creve Coeur's City Council will have the official second reading on a move to add lesbian, gays, bisexuals and transgendered persons to city anti-discrimination laws. The item has been on the past two council agendas but hasn't been fully discussed.
While it is not on the agenda, the news which broke late last week regarding may also come up.
The Monarch Fire Protection District who showed heroism in the face of a March fire in Creve Coeur.

Thursday night, Patch editors from around St. Louis will converge on Busch Stadium to do concession duty on behalf of a local charity. We asked for your suggestions and we're thrilled to be able to help out a great local organization which helps so many people from far and wide. We'll let you know where we'll be stationed, and which agency is netting the proceeds later this week.
