The Week Ahead: Labor Day, Meeting Changes and Remembering 9/11

A sampling of what Creve Coeur Patch will be watching for this week.

This week we'll be tracking a number of stories here at Creve Coeur Patch. Let's get a few reminders out of the way:

Monday, while we mark the unofficial end of summer with the Labor Day holiday, St. Louis County will be testing the new emergency siren system at 11 a.m. Only the new sirens will sound.

The Planning and Zoning Commission meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday has been cancelled.

Wednesday, we'd like to feature from Creve Coeur or Creve Coeur area schools who are doing great things in the community or in the classroom. Send us your nominees!

Thursday, we'll give your weekend planning a jumpstart with our Get Out Calendar, plus a look at area garage saes.

Thursday night, we'll be covering Creve Coeur's City Council meeting, which would normally be held the following Monday.

Friday is time once again to prepare for another big weekend of high school football, as our team will be out across the area covering Creve Coeur's teams.

This coming Sunday marks the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. We welcome your reflections about how our lives have changed since then and will also offer some resources for those interested in marking the day in the form of community service.
