Welcome to another Monday on Creve Coeur Patch! We hope you're enjoying the Memorial Day Holiday weekend, and taking some time to remember the sacrifices made by the men and women of the Armed Forces.

The holiday means the regularly scheduled meeting of the City Council moves to Tuesday, and will start at 7:30 p.m. because of a 6 p.m. work session to discuss the proposed 2013 budget.

This week will also bring a close to the high school graduation season, with Wednesday and Pattonville handing out the honors Thursday.

June is definitely the month for carnivals...Friday is the opening day for St. Monica's annual extravaganza, which ends Saturday. De Smet will host Creve Coeur Days later this month.
