We're plugged back in at full gear after the Thanksgiving weekend, with a good dose of turkey and even to some Black Friday shopping under our belt. We hope you and yours had a safe and happy holiday.
Monday night, Patch will be at City Council meeting. Among the items on the agenda:
- Amending a city ordinance to conform with a new state law on fire sprinklers.
- A contract tied to Ladue Road sidewalk improvements.
- New discussion over efforts to change the sales tax sharing formula for municipalities in St. Louis County.
Monday, the Ladue School board is scheduled to decide which 2011 ballot a would appear. What do you think? We'll be there, too.
Tuesday, a Creve Coeur Town Hall meeting for Ward 1, because of a conflict with the St. Louis Cardinals' postseason run, is set for 7 p.m. What issues are important to you in Ward 1?
Also Tuesday, it's too late to register, but fresh off his retirement as a morning talk show host, Regis Philbin will be in Creve Coeur, for the November Fontbonne University/Charlie Brennan Show Book Club. Philbin will be at talking with KMOX host Charlie Brennan about his new book, "How I Got This Way".
Now that the fall sports season has concluded, the time has come for winter sports athletes to take center stage. We'll have a preview of some of the storylines to follow on the basketball courts and wrestling mats over the next few months.
We hope you take advantage of all the tools Patch has to offer. Have an announcement for an event at your church or organization? You can post that on Patch.
Want to write about something on your mind? You can blog about it on Patch.
